What is Hugspil? Hugspil brings you unique physical puzzles and intricate puzzle boxes designed especially for Icelandic enthusiasts. Our products offer captivating challenges that sharpen your mind and provide endless entertainment.
Who can buy from Hugspil.is? Anyone! Our site is open to customers in Iceland and (where available) internationally. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian permission if younger.
Ordering & Payment
How do I place an order? Browse our shop, add items to your cart, proceed to checkout, enter your details, choose a shipping method, and complete payment. You’ll receive an order confirmation email immediately.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept major credit/debit cards and any other secure methods displayed at checkout (processed via trusted third-party providers). We do not store your full card details.
Are prices including VAT? Yes — all prices shown include Icelandic VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Do you offer gift wrapping or messages? Not at this time, but feel free to contact www.giftreykjavik.is as they do use our stock in their orders.
Shipping & Delivery
Which carriers do you use? We ship via Dropp, Pósturinn (Iceland Post), and Leit Leið, depending on your location and order details.
How much does shipping cost? Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on order weight, size, delivery address, and chosen carrier. We sometimes offer free shipping on orders above a certain amount (check product pages or promotions).
How long does delivery take? Within Iceland: typically 1–5 business days (often 1–3 in the capital area). Exact estimates appear at checkout. We process orders within 1–3 business days (usually faster for in-stock items).
Do you ship internationally? Yes, to select countries (mainly EEA) — availability, extra costs, and customs fees will be shown at checkout. Customers outside Iceland are responsible for import duties/taxes.
What if my package is delayed or lost? Contact us at info@hugspil.is with your order number. We track shipments and work with carriers to resolve issues. Report problems within 7 days of expected delivery.
Returns, Refunds & Withdrawal
Can I return or get a refund? Yes — see our full Refund and Returns Policy for details. As an EEA/Iceland consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) from receiving your order, but this may not apply to certain personalized or sealed items once opened.
How do I return an item? Notify us via email (info@hugspil.is) within the allowed period, then return the item in original condition. You usually pay return shipping unless the item is faulty. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
What if my puzzle arrives damaged or faulty? Contact us immediately (within 7 days of receipt) with photos and your order number. Faulty items fall under the 2-year legal guarantee — we offer repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.
Products & Puzzles
Are your puzzles suitable for children? Some are — check the product description for age recommendations. Many are designed for teens and adults due to complexity.
Can I get help if I’m stuck on a puzzle? We love a good challenge! Hints or solutions may be available on request (email us), but we encourage trying first — that’s the fun part!
Do you have new puzzles coming soon? Yes — we regularly add innovative designs. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates and exclusive offers.
Account & Privacy
Do I need an account to order? No — guest checkout is available. Creating an account lets you track orders, save addresses, and view order history.
